Sensed is Enactus UWA’s newest project.
The mission is to create socially, environmentally and economically sustainable alternative therapy for those suffering from dementia.
Sensed’s impact is created through its production of sensory blankets made out of textile wastage to be provided to individuals suffering from Dementia. These sensory blankets work as a great alternative form of therapy. Used to prevent the escalation of BPSD thus the use anti-psychotic medication on those people suffering. Particularly founded to assist in low socio-economic areas.
With our partnerships with recyclable material centres and schools we aim to educate the next generation on textile waste, health issues and social entrepreneurship.
Sensed was created by the community for the community.
